My name’s Jimmy Roche. I’m a baseball guy. Grew up and remained living in Boston, Massachusetts and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I was little, my mom would take to me games all the time and ever since, I’ve been a huge supporter of the sport. I decided to start a website, bringing people together, keeping them informed and hopefully making them laugh. Here, you’ll find a ton of reliable baseball resources but you’ll also get news and reviews of the happenings inside the game— especially revolving around the Red Sox. I’ll go on rants and raves, as well as, open discussions. I’m a passionate guy, what can I say? The baseball community is filled with fiery people, we love the competition and are dedicated to our city’s teams. I’m not totally biased though. I want to provide as much information as I can about as many East Coast teams as possible, while providing a place for people to come and have fun. At the end of each game, you can expect to see a new post, giving a detailed overview of everything that happened, including: wins, losses, scores at certain innings, and any eye catching moments that you might have missed.
One of the best things about baseball is feeling like you really know your team, you can watch the emotion, the struggle and triumph. For instance, on May 21, 2017, drama broke out in the dugout between Pomeranz and Farrell while in the middle of the game between the Oakland Athletics. A quick and heated discussion. I might not know what the conversation was about, but I can say that letting their emotions run wild like that could’ve cost us the game. Fortunately, it didn’t. It’s those little moments, the ones that are often over looked, that add a certain layer to the baseball atmosphere that I can’t quite explain.
You’ve come to the right place if you’re a baseball fanatic looking for open discussions, news and even drama. You’ll especially have a good time if you’re from Boston. However, I am open to those wanting special reviews done. If you love a team and want a well written, passionate review, just let me know. So, welcome to 21st Century Baseball! For all your baseball inquiries and stories. If you’d like to know more about the site, ask for a custom review or just have some questions that need answering, I urge you to contact me.
